Funny you mentioned that, because while a lot of people prefer the "Euro" look with the smaller bumpers, I actually prefer the US versions with the larger bumpers - especially on the larger models. Seems to me like the smaller bumpers seem out of place on a larger car and make it look "cheaper" (smaller and cutting cost?) I guess that is what I am trying to say. I have heard that the Euro models will not take much bumps on the bumpers too.

Am I just crazy, or does anyone else prefer the USA models look better?

haha i have a Euro and i prefer the US bumpers too...haha so that makes two!

I think the Euro bumpers only go with certain c olor and my car is thristle green so it makes the car look smaller so i got the US b umpers.

european market bumpers, as introduced by the '79 w126, were rated at 2.5mph

US spec ratings were 5mph as of 1973 for all models
