possible air leak in the brake system?

Mercedes Benz 1992 500 SEL

I noticed a sound from under the hood of my car as I was changing the tranny fluid this weekend. The sound appeared to be an air leak from a hose.
I located the hose that was making the sound. It's the thin hose the goes under one of the engine covers. (the cover in the middle that pulls right off).
Its the cover you have to take off in order to get the power steering fluid lid off. The hose is connected to a white piece and that appears to be where the sound is coming from. When you put your finger on the area, you can hear the sound that appears to be a leak in the line. The hose looks like it goes from the engine to the brake booster. I think that hose needs to be replaced.
Also lately I have had problems with the car jerked about three times as I come to a stop. I'm trying to put things together and I think that may be the problem. My rotors and pads are fine because I just got the car inspected in P.a. I'm not sure whether that hose is suppose to make that noise or do I have a problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hmm ya you might have to, also get system bleeded out with new fluid to see if that helps. if you want you can upgrade to stainless steel brake lines for better braking feel. hope that helps.

Sounds like a vacuum leak if the line is coming from the brake booster which would cause you some problems.
