changed my tires to 255/40/19 ,285/35/19 5mm spacers
i changed my tires to correct 255/40/19 ,285/35/19 plus 5mm spacers all around and got 1.5inch gap left in rear and 2inch gap in front and i havent installed performance springs yet! ps. also rolled my fenders and tommorrow will install h&r springs -that should take care of the remaining gap

nice rims there MACI
Did you roll the fenders on the front and back?
Im waiting for my rims to come and they will have 255/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rear. Im looking to lower it by 30mm (or 1.25 inches), will there be rubbing if I do not roll the fenders?
Im liking your ride Maci, Im really looking forward to what you will do with it, in terms of how the wald installation will look

i rolled front and actually had to cutt the inner part for the rear with cuttoff tool and then smooth it out with a grinder, otherwise tire will definetly rubb.
first pic is the front and 2 is the rear ,i am yet to install the springs

Front Springs And Shocks Installed
i finally got the car to the shop and had the front springs and shocks changed today.it took the guys 3 hours to do the one side with the spring compressor, and only 45min with the second, cause we desided to use the torch to cut the old spring, and guys i will tell you thats the fastest way to go,maybe not the safest -but it worked .the shop guy had to torch it in six places and it took about 5 min to take the old spring out.tommorrow or monday they will do the rear shocks and springs,so meanwhile i took the car home -during the 1st 10-20mi the ride was somewhat bumpy that i kindof freaked out.but afterwards i guess the spring and shock settled and BELEIVE ME THE FRONT SUSPENSION BECAME LIKE TOTALLY NEW CAR RIDE,I MEAN THE FRONT REACTS TO THE ROAD VERY,VERY,VERY SMOOTH DAY AND NIGHT DIFFRENCE OVER STOCK.I AM AMAZED .DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 120MI/HOUR DOING VERY SHARP CORNERS-I THOUGHT I WAS DRIVING A FORMULA ONE-I WAS IN HEAVEN.AND I HAVENT EVEN DONE THE REAR !THE FRONT STANCE NOW HAS ALMOST NO GAP.
H&R+BILSTEIN RULZZZZZZZZZ. I WILL POST PICS ASAP PS.I AM ONLY PAYING $375 FOR LABOR FOR ALL 4 SIDES-NOT BAD AH!

NICE MACI!!
RIDE LOOKS TIGHT MY FRIEND!!
how are the H&Rs doing for the ride comfort? Is it too rough now or is it acceptable?
Looks like a 40 mm drop on the front there?
Let us see some high res pics when you are ready!

Replica kit
Hi Guys, new to the forum. I have to agree that replica kits are crap -- and I'm talking out of experience. I ordered a replica kit for my w124 cabrio out of Vancouver BC. First it showed up 3 months late, followed by no mounting brackets, warped and the side skirts for a 4 door. After 4 months of trying to get it resolved AMEX gave me my money back. After 6 months of the kit sitting in storage collecting dust and not hearing from the seller my friend who owns a body shop talked my into putting the kit on the car, and after about 40 hours of mods to make a look respectable and straight we both agreed there isn't enough time and money worth spending to make it work. So it's been thrown out. I have since received my real authentic Wald kit. What a difference. No modifications required, mounting locations are in place, smooth -- very smooth -- ready for paint, no additional body work required. Here's the kicker. The replica was $999 USD the real kit $1500 USD. There was well over $500 additional work spent cleaning up the replica -- figure out what a shop charges and multiply it by 30-40 hours. I can honestly say I'll be prouded of the way my car will look now. There was major disapointment when I saw the replica fitted.
Spend the little bit of extra $$ and by the real kit. You'll appreciate it in the end.
My car should be finished late next week, I'll post some pics.

Hey when you get it and install the kit, let us know what type of issues you had with the kit such as fitment, etc. I was thinking about purchasing the same kit myself but want to know one person who has installed it on a w140.
