Need Help! 1997 s600 transmission doesn't change the gears
Hi
Does anybody have an Idea what could be the problem?
I started my car yesterday, put the transmission into D , and then while I was driving the transmission didn't change the gears.
It stayed in the same gear . I think it was the 2nd gear.I kept on driving a few more minutes , but still no response.I started it again today and the transmission is still not working properly.
No response to kickdown ... , nothing .
I will bring it to the service at the weekend , but I'm curious what this could be.
If this happened to anybody before , please help me out with some info.

The dealership should have the proper equipment to diagnose. Hopefully it is something minor like a solenoid. Besides the actual transmission, it could be the ASR system?
