My Car Is Gone
going to work Monday morning steping out onto the driveway and ...NO CAR !!!~
I could not belive it, parked it sunday night and gone Monday morning.
no one saw or heard anything, no broken glass on the driveway or any signs.
I'm so pissed that car was in mint condition and i have put alot into it.
Called the cops and the could only take a report, they did not offer me much hope , I hope the find it .
what a feeling...very violeting.
hope it never happen to any of you guys.
Is it that easy to steal a benz?????

Thanks Benzkid, dont feel bad about yours being broken into, its even more frustrating when you have a reminder of the violating act in front af you everytime you look at the car and hope it was a dream and did not actualy happen.

No news about the car yet, driving around in a rental, It's probebly in a thousend parts now.
It probebly was a tow job, i dont see any other way it could have been done.
if not found in 30 days i guess i'll be in the market for another W140. since their is nothing eles i like in my budget, and i really liked mine.
and a good one is so hard to find around here.

Wow! ...and i thought Toronto was a safe city. May i ask which neighbourhood yours was stolen in? I ask because I too, live in Toronto or more specifically, North York. I never thought that these cars could be so easily stolen. I feel your pain.

breaking into these cars is easy but stealing them is hard to do because of the smart key so unless you left one in there as a spare then it was most likely towed away. Sorry to hear this, but my clk was broken into and no glass was broken so it is possible

thank you for all your responces.
the car was stolen from Richmond Hill andrew,
x15, i dont think the w140 has a smart key, i think onky the newer models do.
but their was no spare key in the car, i have all of the keys in my posettion.
No payments to be made on the car benzkid, it was paid in full on purchase, so no repo man here, the police asked the same question.
it looks like it it must have been towed away, and later on i found out that the police made another stop on my street that morning, rumers are one more was missing that day, dont know what make.
very strage cuz this is a good area with very little to no crime, but i guess no where is safe.
the insurace company suposed to settle with me next week, i hope i can get my money back if not my car back.
keep you posted

true they are dropping in value, good on one hand and bad on the other.
I have been looking only at the auto trader on line for cars in my area.
dont know if i would buy that type of car on ebay, the w140 realy needs to be inspected well b4 buying.
they are just to damm expensive to fix.
i know a guy here that is a MB master mechanic have been with MB for 20 years, he opend his own shop and has all the computers diagnostics equipment and experiance for much less then dealership cost.i had him do some work in the past and was very impressed.
I would have him do a bumper to bumper inspection on any MB i consider buying so a local car a must for me.

I bought mine off ebay,However the dealer was a good friend of my uncles(our wholesaler really) and i was able to inspect the mercedes and ran carfax on mine before i spent my money on it..i bought it for $15,000 cash a year and a half ago with 72k on it..108k now. look the value up yesterday on NADA dealer retail is $17k but there going less then that..and Black book has the w140 dirt cheap...Buy Black book value and sell NADA.

give him a call if you need to fix something he is better then most dealers and cheeper.
I belive he is on holidays until September.
