My pops was driving today and all of a sudden the gas pedal got stuck in and wont come back out....And i guess the car just moves really slow and wont do anything else...

anyone heard of this problem or know what it could be? and what i need to do to fix it?

weird, try making sure nothing got caught in the linkage and spray some silicone lubricant on the linkage, maybe it just needs some lubrication. if that doesnt work, may sure the throttle cable did not somehow get damaged.

Ok so i checked out the car and its just like nothing is connected to the pedal...as in the linkage might be broke or somethign in the pedal assembly might be disconnected....i turn the car on and put it into drive and it wont move...its like the pedal is flimsy and loose....just goes down and back so easily like its not connected or something....

sounds like throttle cable snapped . not too expensive to fix. i've heard stories about it snaping but never actually seen a case of it happening.

There is an infamous plastic piece, which breaks at the most inopportune time, in the throttle linkage of many MBs, which car is this affecting?

Here's a pic, the piece is #68 on the illustration (this is specifically for a 1995 S320). I think its $3.00 or something like that. It snaps into the throttle linkage and acts as a keeper for the cable coming from the gas pedal.
