Talk all the crap about other MB's you want.. but a brand new C55 costs more money, about 3 times as much as you 7 year old S320.. Hell, my CDI costs more than twice as much.. I don't run out an find E500 badge to show off, cause I was actually able to write the check (yes cash) to the dealer for the E500, but chose the CDI cause I like diesel. It's a matter of paying $55K vs $58K.. and the E500 had a big rebate on top, so it may have been cheaper.
But what you can afford, and don't pose... you'll sleep much better at night.

i am so proud for u sir..........for your diesel...or whatever you drive....only because i can write a check for 110k for a new car doesnt mean i will do it...i will rather spend only 10-20k on a used s class w140 than buy a new c class or e class ........................remember an sclass is always a better class.......my suggestion to you sir stop spending money like a lunatic and buy a used s class then maybe u will make better sense when u open your mouth.....

i am 29 and if you have time u can read thru my other posts .....and see that i wasnt born with a silver spoon up my a** .............as far as badging that is why we live in U.S and not in Iraq....and can badge and do anything to our vehicles .... and yes sir i will badge my s420 with a s600 badge --TO SHOW OFF...........its not your car anyways so why do you bother so much about it?

You are free to do what you want with your car and more than able to show off all you want.. but what will you do when you are showing off and someone asks you to open your hood or doors? No V12, no Nappa Leather, no suede headliner, no wood steering wheel, no V12 shifter, no leather door cards, damping controls, .... the list goes on. Maybe you can sell the emblems and get Erebuni emblems? That would be more appropriate. But whatever you do, please do it with class and style because like you keep mentioning: this is a w140 forum. So act like a w140 owner and show some maturity and respect! This is not clubsi or some other forum with witty teenagers.
