Fake emblems
Isnt it funny how lots of people put on V12 signs and S600 in the back of their S320s or 500s.
What is the damn problem, do they have to pretend to be bigger and badder or what? How lame do you have to be to fool people and yourself into thinking that you have a 600 instead of 500. If only I had a sticker that says FAKE and got $20 to do it everytime, I would stick it on every fake car that is out there.

I pity the fools that do such things. I saw a maroon CLS500 with a CLS55 badge on it and I started bustin out laughing at the poor self consious sap that was getting in to his car. When I see people that have fake badges I always have this itch to scratch fake right next to it. You shouldn't make a big fuss about it just feel sorry for them and let them know people can tell the difference

Cause if its not a 600 and why lie. Do people feel so insecure and small that they have to advertise their wealth or power through a pair of V12 signs. If thats so, I would say it a pathetic way to live. After all, when the hood opens.....

I got a really good laugh over the weekend
I got such a good laugh following one of those cars.
It was a C-class with an S500 badge, blacker than black tint, chrome wheels on what otherwise is a chromefree car, subwoofers that could be heard in the next county, and lowered to the stops. And yet none of these things were what made me laugh... it was the fact that it was all done so badly. The badge wasn't straight, the tint had bubbles and waves everywhere, the subwoofers sounded so obviously cheap and the kicker was the driver clearly bounced in his seat every time the car went over the tinyest bump.
So please, if you are going to "Bling" ( or "Gaudy" as my generation calls it ) your Mercedes, don't dis yourself and your car. Have it done right.

u are totally off the point......if u put v12 ,600 badges,chrome grill,clear corners,upgrade to 99 taillights,paint car one color tone (like white) and chrome 18 monoblocks on a 94 s500 how will it make it worst???....

How's this for a compromise: if you want to badge your 500 as a 600, you should have to pay the additional taxes and insurance the 600 would cost. I've seen a few threads about this lately, and I think anybody who would do such a thing is definitely a loser. If you're so insecure that your car is a 500, just debadge it and go without. Let people wonder. Truth is, the only peolpe who would understand the difference will know you're a fake. The rest of the drivers would be clueless. Why not go further and put v16 and S750 badges on! Wow, wouldn't that be cool?!?!

Funniest thing is, I see kids with 500's in the neighborhood change their emblems from 500 to 600, to S55 and then s65 since they all came out later on, all on the same old 2000 S class. which is probably 430 to start with. So lame.

iwill say it again ....why du u guys bother so much if i or some else change badges.....afterall its not your car....its lame when u critisize ......u can keep it original without any upgrades weither its rims or stereo...

stereo,rims badges are equally same upgrades to a car,when someone puts amg rims or body kit the idea is that people think and see the car as amg --unaware that it is a POSER ,if i put amg rims on my vehicle will it be appropriate to put amg badge on the trunk to signify that?????.......

I guess you just dont get it. It comes with style age and class.
If you are into badging, then why not add SUPERCHARGED badge, and POLICE INTERCEPTOR9from ford) or some **** like that?
No one is stoping you from putting on Renntech or Brabus emblems on as long as you have a part from them or a mod. But if you dont, why fake it?
At some point, someone will race ytou and you will loose to a S420, or a Maxima, and that will suck.
Just be carefull, each V12 emblem adds 20HP, can your tranny handle the stress?

ACCORDING TO U IF SOMEONE ADDS AMG RIM AND KIT THEY CAN PUT AMG TRUNK BADGE,BUT IF THE CAR IS 94 S420----GUESS WHAT???...THERE ISNT SUCH THING AS 94S420 AMG....BUT THERE IS 98S600 AMG....THAT IS ONE ALSO HAS TO PUT V12 EMBLEM....GOT IT

Rims and other mods actually cost big bucks and enhance the quality of your ride. If $20 amg badge adds extra cylinders to my engine I would too! S320 is still a top tier Benz. Don't try so hard. Trying to impress others by advertising $ you don't have is just crass.

Yes, why pretend that you have a better car? People spend the extra money to actually have the car and get the badging that it deserves. You putting on a fake badge may make some people think that you have an s600 but to many w140 enthusiast, they will know you are a fake and will not respect you. It's just one of those things where if you want to fit in, you just have to be yourself. I would like to know your debate to this. In addition, it would be nice to see your response without the abuse of caps lock. This is the w140 section and this section is of class, please show it.
