Beautiful Beautiful S-classes ... I love the w140, I definitely have to get one in the future. Keep on posting pictures guys.

This thread should be pinned on top of the S-class forum.

Mechanically it is meticulously cared for but always requiring attention. Changed so many parts but the electricals are not the best. Wiring harness biggest issue.
Now S and E switch does not operate on gearbox. Only works when the car is cold (first started in the day) for about 4/5 mins (if you can help me I am posting a new thread, thanks)
However, when everything works it is a wonderful car with such an unmistakable presence on the road. You do not have to see any 3 pointed stars to KNOW that this is a Mercedes, unlike some of todays updated cars that just look to be similar to Lexus in their lines, in my opinion.
Some lovely cars here, especially the 93 300se in grey with AMGs that looks like it just left the factory, absolutely beautiful. Not forgetting those lovely S500s and legendary S600s.
If I was a pro mechanic I would own an S600. For me its not about the gas when I bought the S320, it was the frightening maintenance costs that I heard and the difficulty I would have in carrying out work in the engine bay.
When my skills improve and my tools collection gets more sophisitcated I am definately getting a v12. probably in 4 or 5 years when the W221 S600 becomes a little more attainable.
I say W221 because I have driven and heard my friends'/aquaintances' S350, S500 and S600 W220 models and I have not been impressed with the build quality. After seeing the issues with the W140 I would rather wait for a more solidly built benz whose wiring harness would not have to be changed after 5 years and barely 40,000 miles . Of course there maybe some lucky individuals that have not had reliability issues from the best selling luxury sedan.

George! Nice 140! I am a long time customer, love your stuff.

I have a pair of newer-style headlights to spruce up your new ride, let me know if you are interested. They are take-offs from my '95 S420, when I installed OEM xenons.

Thank you, we are going to look this on over and see what it needs besides a full leather restoration. Seats are bad and make a good poster child for our items.
PS Thank you for the kind words about our products
