Spark plug Question

Its time for a tune up and I was thinking of trying the 4 electrode plugs I've seen in Proformance products catalog. Are these really any better than standard plugs? Any preferances you guys have? ( I have a 96 S320 ) Is it worth the cost for these plugs?
Thanks

I have seen people use the platnium plugs and they last a bit longer. Put it this way with the size of the car and the engine etc, there will not be a hell of a lot of performance difference. The car was designed with the OEM plugs in mind so why not stick to it.

Just go with factory recommended plugs. Too many bad experiences in the old Porsche 911 camp for me to think about using the Platinum +4 plugs in any car.

Don't, your car won't run right. Stick with the Bosch plugs that MB specs. They cost a whole $2 each from the dealer and take all of 10 minutes to change. Change every 30k.

I think this:F 8 DC4 is the number you need.

OK went with the Bosch, also replased the fuel filter. The car runs great Except it sometimes is "a little" hard to start. I have to give it a little throttle to get it started and it kind of surges when it starts. Like revese up and then evens out. I thought the plugs and filter would do it since they are @ 41k miles. any Ideas.

Thanks

You shouldn't have to give any throttle to start an electronic fuel injection car. Sound like it's not getting enough fuel. Fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, air mass meter, or maybe the engine computer (ECU)? These are wild guesses, by the way.

I agree with OEM

I agree with oem parts from Boach copper core. Inexpensive works very well.
