s500 suspension

i have a 1997 s550 with 100,000 miles. I just replaced the front shocks the front snd rear springs and one strut on the rear. Both of those rubber stops over the struts were replaced also. My suspension still sucks. The car feels like it moves sideways when i go over small bumps or rough pavement. The car just dosent feel right. It dosen't feel solid anymore, too squishy. Any sugestions?

I have been told by a few people that if you replace the rear struts then to do both at the same time. There can also be problems with air getting into the pump lines for the rear shocks when they are changed. When you say that the car moves sideways is it like a boat in a swell? Might be the swaybar links. Any noise in the car?

no noise, but it is like a boat in a swell. I go over a security gate track at the parking lot at work, and when I do the whole car shimmies. My old 126 never handled like this.

How old are the tires on the car?
if the side walls are old or damaged even on one tire, it could give you the sensation of side to side motion and instability

If all the shocks and stuff have been done I would look at the sway bar links if the car is moving side to side but then there should be a clunking noise. What about the busings in the front suspension? Might be that. Tyres like what was suggested is also a good idea to have a look at. What are the shocks that were replaced? OEM? or aftermarket. Also there are swaybars in the rear of the car I think, when there is a shimmy do you mean it feels like the whole car is flexing or is it in the steering, steering I would think might be bushings.

tires are not too new. I will check them out. shimmy is not in steering, but whole car seems to move. Bushings or sway bar have not been done yet. at highway speeds car isn't too bad but in town especially on rough pavement it is horrioble.

I want to say sway bars if its like that at slow speeds but there should be noise unless you have caught it early. My car has a noise I think it is either the shocks or the swaybar, as the roads in teh city I am in for university are really crap I think it is just the shocks getting a bit old.
