Need to Find cheaper price for $28,000 Master cylinder pump.

Hello,

We recently aquired an 95 S600 factory armored level B6. It has a bigger factory brake master cylinder pump that is bad. The part costs about $28,000 dollars and I found someone in Conneticut that can sell it to me for $25,500. I would like to know if any of you have any contacts in Germany or somewhere else where I could get this part cheaper or maybe a repair kit for the part.

Thanks for your help,
Charles

Well I'm not suprised that you have one of those in Mexico city. I don't think anyone will be able to help you but who knows. One thought would be if you were able to get someone to pull the thing apart and rebuild whatever when bad in it. What exactly does this part do? Operate the cars ABS and is bigger due to the extra weight?

Sorry to also be OT but can we get some pics of the cars sounds really cool.

Wow! $28,000? US Dollars? I would think you could have one built from scratch for that, or at least fix the one you have az NZ mentioned.

Thank you for the replies. Where could i get the pump fixed? THe pump operates the brakes. Its a combined booster mastercylinder unit like the one that comes on the rtegular s600 just much larger. If anyone can tell me where of who can fix this part I would appreciate it.

Pics of the vehicle will come soon.

Thanks,
Charles

I would suggest a trusted mechanic who does the regular work on your cars but this might be a bit of a cut above them. Perhaps some kind of highend engineering shop or something like that, there must be someone down there who does special work like this. Get out the phonebook I guess.

Can you offer me the part number in a direct mail. I will get a price for you directly from Germany.

A 002 431 45 12 HYDRAULIC UNIT........3088.67
A 001 431 39 87 PROTECTIVE CAP..........16.42
A 000 430 10 94 ACCUMULATOR............575.07
A 140 430 03 30 BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY
A 002 431 99 12 HYDRAULIC UNIT.........1244.77
A 000 430 04 32 PUMP..........................421.35

I got these part numbers and prices from the Germany price book. The main pump price is not listed. I used the S600 with special protection as the chassis for these prices.

Prices are in EURO not USD.

There are 3 possible repair kits
----------------------------------------
A 140 430 00 08 REPAIR KIT.......1960.28
A 140 430 01 08 REPAIR KIT.........930.21
A 140 430 02 08 REPAIR KIT........._____

Prices are in EURO not USD.

The part you were quoted 28,000 can be bought for around half that. They were just looking for a fast profit.

Hi Charles
I travel to Germany almost every week, and have a very good connection with some MB dealership and I can save some on the original retail price as well.
I'm sure I can help you in this.
Please let me know the exact part number for this Item and I will get you a price on it.
Send me a PM .
Regards Dennis

I sent out PM's. Thanks guys.
Hopefully i can get it fixed. I asked the dealership what exactly was wrong and they told me when they connect it to the battery it doesnt turn on.
I hope I can fix it with or without a repair kit.

Thanks,
Charles
