W220/W140 wheels
W220 wheels should fit almost perfectly, there is only 5 mm ( 0.2" ) difference in offset. I have a set of W220 wheels with my winter tires. Complete table of Mercedes wheel/model/offset combinations is here http://www.mercedeswheels.net/
You should check the load ratings, 225/55R17 seems a little small for W140. W220 in not as heavy as W140.
