Its not that difficult, I had to do mine recently. New replacement was about £3.40 + vat from MB. From memory I had to drop the cover above the pedals and remove the heater pipe just inside, once that is done I seem to recall you could almost do it in situ. a good pair of pliars and small fingers helped.
