98 S420 19 Wheel Fitment
So I ended up purchasing a 98 S420 instead of the coupe. Question now is wheel and tire application. Alot of you guys are running 44 eta offset front and rear. Can I run instead 35 eta front and back? As well should I run 245 45 /19 up front and 245 /40 rear to fill up the wheel gap without rubbing?
19 x 8.5 Front eta 35mm
19 x 9 Rear eta 35mm
Thanks,
Cali
OG Brabus IV's on Nitto 245/35
I'm surprised the ride was not as bad as everybody was saying. The ultimate test was Sat night had the car loaded with 2 gurls and two big homies and no rubbing what so ever. The Nitto 35's have a taller sidewall then Pirelli, Khumos or Falkens, weird cuzz I thought they should all be the same if they're 245/35s no matter what brand they are they should all have the same dimensions. Did a side by side comparison and the Nittos were definitely taller.
Has about a 1 1/2" wheel gap, not too bad but I would like to lower it., anybody have rubbing issues on their lowered W140's on 20's? Thanks for everybody's input on this project, everything is coming together nicely. I've had it for two weeks and this is what I've done so far (White 98 S420)
Full service
flushed all fluids, tranny service, plugs etc.
clear corners w/chrome bulbs
smoked led taillights
chrome front and rear ac vents
chrome shift surround
chrome shift plate
chrome door handle covers
S600 grill
light tint
Burlwood/chrome shifter
20 chrome Brabus Monoblock IV's original not replicas
I usually don't like chrome but chrome on a white W140 actually looks good.
Coming soon
OEM Xenon conversion
Brabus front end
Brabus exhaust (if I can locate one)
Brabus or MB illuminated door sills
Brabus puddle lights
