One of the lights that illuminate the instrument panel in my 1999 S320 has burned out. It is the one on the left side behind the tach and clock. Are these bulbs or LED's? How hard is it to replace, and just how would one go about doing that? Thanks in advance!!!

If I can recall correctly, once you take the instrument cluster out of the dash, and disconnect the wires, you can easily access the bulbs from the back. Just twist the bulb out, get the new bulb in, and put it right back in.
Last time I had this issue, thats what my MB guy did for me, and it took no more than three minutes. You just might have to run to your local stealership and buy the tool to get the instrument cluster out of the dash. Should be fairly cheap.

try this
funny i have had same problem with my dash light bulbs out but all i do is give the top of the dash a smack and presto the bulb relights itself. but if yours still refuses to come on then i guess it has burnt out. all the best.
