Help me with my Winshield Washer problems?

Since I bought the car my windshield washer fluid never worked, when I put the fluid in, it would spill right out, so I figure its the reservoir itself. I went to change it out today and realized that the reservoir isn't bad, so I cant figure out where the hole is coming from and then I realize that the hose from the little pump is snapped right where the hood latch is by the windshield and the wires for the heater washer fluid is torn cut, the motor itself works, now for the questions:

1. There are (2) almost identical looking motor pumps attached to the reservoir and one of them make the motor noise which is connected to the hose and heater wire while the other doesn't make any noise? What is the other one?

2. There are (2) brake line looking lines that connect to the reservoir, what does that lead to since it doesn't lead to the windshield?

3. The hose from the motor to the windshield washer has the (2) electrical wires as well as a hose that the water would pass through, is that correct?
I mean, the hose for the wires and the water is the same? Yes, they dont touch by they are so close together.

Without knowing what model 140 you have, I'm only guessing on part of this reply. Would be best if you include your year & model in your signature or in your bio.

The wires run inside the line leading to the washer nozzels. They're to heat the washer fluid when the temps are cold enough that it might freeze. There's a sensor for the temp that attaches to the underside of the hood near the driver's side hinge - it's a flat plastic cover-looking thing - the sensors are behind that.

Anyway - the lines run inside the hose - they're supposed to be there.

The second pump is for the headlamp washers. It only runs when you have the headlamps on and press the windshield wash button on the turn-signal stalk.

Dont use the cheapo stuff to fill the reservoir too. My mechanic dumped some cheap stuff in our car as a courtesy and it ended up clogging it. I always used rain X brand stuff to clean the windshield. Now I have to figure out how to unclog the 93 300SE.
