Hello everyone!
I love this 1999 Mercedes-Benz S600L car. And I want to buy one, does anyone know where to look for them?
I want it to be 1996-1999 S600L . I so love those cars. where do I find it?
How much will it cost to me?

I'm from Calgary, Alberta, Canada just north of the border. I imported my 500SEL from Japan about a year ago the best place to get the cheapest 500sel or s420 or any kind of S-Class with super low KM mine had 72,000KM not miles. But Canada does have some laws about how old the car can be before it can be legally imported into the country(atleast 15 Years). I'm not too sure what the Law is in your state or country. Do some homework its diff. worth it. I paid 6 grand for my car in Japan and then importing cost the total came out to $7800.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Well I was a importer here in Calgary for JDM cars I have a broker in Tokyo Japan who attended auctions for me and picked cars by hand in person. I also found a site from another broker in Japan:

http://www.japanautodirect.com/japan...ing_to_usa.cfm

it says cars coming from Japan must be 25 years old or older to be legally imported into USA.

The only other way to import a car newer and to get around that law is buy a car in Japan get it taken apart into parts import the parts and rebuild the whole car from ground up again and claim it as a hot rod at the DMV to get a VIN made for you. Which is alot of work and I would not recommend that unless its a car like a Nissan Skyline or a model that wasnt relesed to north america im sure you can find some good deals on kijiji.com or ebay motors.

Good Luck!!!!!

Do you homework, it shouldn't be so hard to find a V12 S600, especially 1996-1999. It is my favorite Mercedes of all times.

Me personally I dont like the newer model cars, I dont feel safe. I feel my car was worth the headache. But registering it in a state with emissions test is a B****. I did not have to ship it in pieces though. I did not see them before I got mine but every since I got mine they are poping up everywhere.

The dealer I got mine from only had the one when I was checking them out; I went back a few weeks later and he had three more. He advised me that their was an influx of request for this particular model. Maybe you should lookin to requesting this model from the dealer. I am sure someone in the states have one for sale. I would perfer the European model over the American version; the American version had wiring issues.

Either way good luck and enjoy the ride.

I used to have a project S600 V12 smashed up, and repaired (I do body work on the side for extra $, besides buyin' and flipping cars). I loved it when I sold it. It didn't miss a beat even smashed!
