You

don't need to do it.Just run your tank down to near empty add a can of seafoam to the tank fill it half way and drive it as usual till it is almost empty again, then fill as usual with premium.
Do it once yearly.
The other process injects the seafoam into a vacuum line going to the intake manifold and you really have no need for that and all it entails(smoke, risk of stalling with to much injected ,etc.)

I have done this as stated above. It made a noticeable difference the first time and now I do it a couple times a year just as preventative maintenance thing. I have always wanted to try the vacuum line way but like you don’t want to do it without a better idea of where and how to do it. Good luck.

Which YOU are capable of doing if you introduce an unmetered fuel source into the intake/fuel supply. (if you feel the need to test this just spray ether into it while its running and see how long rpm's rise after you decide to let go of the button)

Put it in the tank and call it good, or see the mech if its not.

I've done the Seafoam, and BG44K, vacuum intake manifold hot soak a dozen times . . . haven't killed an engine yet . . . haven't seen any leaking fluids or oil drips . . . but have gotten odd looks from neighbors over all the smoke.

Adding it to cheaper unleaded fuel is a good idea, much like adding the STP or Chevron detergents, but not nearly as effective as the hot soak.

You

can feed it in via the big vac line from the brake master. But all it really does is smoke and sputter, mostly show.
Just add it to your tank,it will clean the fuel system.
But if you insist the vac line and slowly adding to prevent hydro lock will smoke the neighborhood up real nice.

Dont do it, I've heard horror stories of it being done and older cars loosing compression due to the carbon deposits actually filling cracks in the cylinder walls and seals in the valves. Its a great product in theory.... however in practice it can become a night mare. If needed add it in the gas tank with a bottle of lucas F/I cleaner.

Don't worry. Seafoam works great on any engine. We're hands on with using this product on our vehicles. Great in the intake manifold, can be used in the oil prior to oil changes, and can be used as an injector cleaner, just put it in the gas tank. Luv the smoke cloud, and so do all my neighbors. Better when windy.......nuff said.

Have run Seafoam in ALL of my vehicles for the last 5 years or so. Directly into the intake, wait 15 minutes, fog the neighborhood for mosquitoes..

Simple as can be, NO DAMAGE EVER. Even in my higher mileage vehicles. Running it in the tank runs the risk of disolving crud on the tank walls and sending it through the filter and injectors. **** poor advice from TMA, again...
