94/95 was the gen1 vs gen2 change time, I think. (Maybe it was 95/96?)
Anyway - many of the parts are interchangeable, but there was an update to the transmission along the way (Winter/Summer switch on the console is the dead giveaway), plus a filter change under the hood for the intake (square cartridge style filter vs round).
What are you trying to swap?

wbrian63.....I have an opportunity to buy one as a parts car for $1500. Body in excellent shape, it drives, everything still there, fellow has several of the s-class MB and desided he would part with this one.
