Inoperable speedometer, ABS & ASR lights on due to "crossed" jumpstart

1991 Mercedes 300 SL
Open up the black plastic computer housing (4 hex screws) where it says "battery in trunk" and check the 4 or 5 10 amp fuses in the car's computer. When my speedo stopped working it was a 10 amp fuse in the computer. Unfortunately I paid a mech. $60 to put the car on the scanner to find out I needed a $ 0.25 fuse.

I have a 1991 300SL. I either don't have or can't find the "battery in trunk" housing referred to above. Does anyone know if/where an R129 has the secret fuse?
