Weird Problem,,,

Hello all,

A weird thing happened tonight with my 99 S500,,,

I was driving around, and all of a sudden the ASR light, and the check engine light came on, and at the same time the temp guage went all the way to down to 0,,(the guage went dead) i pulled over and shut it off, and then restarted and everything was fine,, back to normal,,
then i was driving about 2 hours later,, it started to missfire pretty bad,, and the check engine light came on, i once again tried shutting it off,, but when i started the problem presisted...

im gonna pull some codes on it,,, but has anyone else ever had anything like this?

thanks..

Mike

i had a problem with my ASR light coming also and would put the car into limp/safe mode... but it didn't cause a misfire...

Not trying to knock mbworld, but there's not many w140 people consistently on here.... try posting your question on benzworld.org... a good amount of w140 people on there...

just my .02...

Same thing happened to me not to long ago, ended up being a bad coil. Replaced cylinder #3 coil.
