Hi all,

my ride doesn`t blow cold air, si i took it to a local shop, that deals with european cars, and they tried to recharge my A/C system.

Well, there was a short drop in vacuum when they tested it, and i have to figure out how to go about that too, BUT, they said that my two front fans aren`t coming on, as they should.

Do you have any ideas where to start looking to fix that ?

Thanks a lot guys

The AUX fans will have two triggers that activate them. Should come on when coolant, AND/OR refrig temp/pressure surpasses a preset level. On my E class coolant temp trips them at ~90-95C. Fan clutch begins to lock up about the same temp.

On my E, with engine on, pressing and holding both AUTO buttons at idle will activate the fans for test purposes. They'll pulse and then go to full power. I know you can pull some live AC data from your CCU but not certain if that is one of the features avail or not.

So were they able to recharge the system and bring up to pressure? You said vacuum loss what was that about? Were they able to pull a full vacuum? These cars are known for bad evaps . I ran into that problem when I bought mine.
