fan fuse blows immediately
My climate fan stopped working a week ago. The fan will work in the REST mode which tells me the motor is ok. A local mechanic changed the speed regulator for $300. Everything was good for a couple of days, until we found the 20 amp fuse was blowing. The mechanic replaced the fuse with a 30 (risky). All good for two more days, Now I have a dead short. Mr. mechanic thinks we may have a bad daytime running light that shares the circuit. Any help out there?

Thanks, I cleaned and lubed the fan.
Apparently the climate system has multiple fuses. In this case fuse 21 is the mirror heaters as well. My mechanic found burned wires in the harness from the driver side mirror. I limped the car home, disconnected the driver side mirror wires, and replaced all compromised wires in the door panel, on down to the multi plug receptacle next to the e-brake pedal.
