Trunk lid doesn't suck in

Hey all,

I had heard about problems with the driver's door suction problems but yesterday my trunk lid out of the blue stopped sucking in even though the handle does pop in and out, any ideas? Do I have a leak in the system?

thanks,

1995 s500
Hi, been around the forum as a guest longer then a member and this is my first post. I have a 95 S500 and I've experience the same thing. What worked for me was pulling out one of the fuses in the trunk for 5 secs and everything worked fine. Happen a few times and this always fixed it. Its the middle top fuse.

Pull the fuse to the closing assit pump ( might be 2 fuse) This will reset the pump . Than re try the trunk a bunch of times and listen by the handle area. ( IF you know how latch the trunk with the lid open and listen on the inside) .. You probalby have a leak in the diaphram of the actuator.

If the CL pump detects opperation of i think longer than 90sec ( a leak) it will shut that circuit of the pump off as not to burn out the pump

Good luck
