A/C does not cool
Is this the dreaded evaporator problem, is there a quick fix, and approximately how much does it cost to fix the A/C? Thanks in advance.

uhhhh-ohhhhhh

It could be a leaking hose, but I'd be more willing to bet the evaporator gave out.

How long do the evaparators last? The evaporator was replaced in my 92 500SEL a couple of years ago and was just wondering if the replacement would last longer than the original.

8 months and the "CryoSeal" is still sealing my evaporator, Read the above thread and make your decision, seal or repair.

Mine stopped working as well. It gave cooler air first, and then it stopped. Air blows, but its hot...

Grrrr, hate it!
