Installed Reverse Polerized Battery in 1992 300se
Was diagnosing AC fan fuse blow, repairing torn pumper, repairing broken shifter housing when bat drained. Recharged bat and in my haste - very busy at time - I unknowingly reverse charged the battery. I am longterm mechanic for my large fleet of construction equip, farm equip and auto and I never new I could even do what I did but I did. I don't know what to do now. I guess I will sell the car for $700 but If anyone knows how, I will try to diagnose the havoc I have caused. I burned out and replaced the harness that runs from the passenger firewall to the alt and starter. The car turns over fine, all inst cluster lights come on but no start. I will post some picks. Thank you in advance for any sugestions

I have made a similar mistake
Did you have any luck with a fix? My car is running but I have asr light stuck on, the abs light stuck on, no speedometer and a vacuum gage fault. If I find an answer to my problem I'll post it on the site, Good luck.
