300SE - fan pulley wobbles?

I have had an oil leak at the front of the engine for a while but when trying to diagnose my AC problem, I found that the pulley that the engine viscous fan attaches to is very wobbly. If I hold a fan blade I can rock the whole thing.

Engine doesn't overheat so can someone tell me what the pulley attaches to? I need to know if it's a part I need to replace so I can get one before I start stripping the front end down as I don't have a workshop manual.

If it's just something that has come loose, could that be the cause of an oil leak?

Apart from that, the car runs well.
