Windows, Wiper and Turn Indicators Stop Working

Hello,

I just bought a '96 S320 and it's a great ride. The only problem is the windows, wipers and turn signals work intermittently. The issue has been happening since I got the car, but has gotten significantly worse.

I think it's just a bad universal relay but I just wanted to ask here first to see if anyone has experienced a similar issue.

Thanks,

Weygand

Phillip,

Thanks for the response. Yes, I checked all the fuses to ensure they were correctly seated.
Another thing I noticed was that this morning when I started the car the wipers/windows/TS didn't work. Then after driving about 30 minutes of driving around town they started working and have worked after me stopping and restarting the car.

Regards,
Weygand

Hey Simon...no luck so far. Now my problem is the driver's front window, passenger rear window, and sunroof no longer work I replaced the battery.

The SRS light still comes on randomly and then nothing will work. A couple minutes later and comes on again and the 2 still functioning windows work.

I wonder if I should buy a diagnostic tool

Hey Simon,

I think, based on the intermittent functionality that it's a short in the system.
I think I need to buy a diagnostic tool and see if I can get any codes

I'll let you know how I get on.
