radio problem
I think I remember there is a inline fuse behind the radio.
It is easy to pull radio IF you have those little radio removal tools
also you will need the radio security code

And the assumption here is...the radio was working before you change out your battery? Was the old battery working before you changed it out? (i.e. reason for changing out battery?)

FYI, next time...check first with your local MB dealership parts department...these tools are not expensive and we do not need to buy time off eBAY....I got mine at the dealer for less than $3.00...no waiting.

Even the dash cluster removal tool can be purchase for around $10 at the dealership...so, don't go wasting your time on eBay for stuff like these.

Yeah, it's probably a good bet some where a fuse has blown.

Mine had a bad capacitor on the back. I plugged it in to 12 V, lightly touched all the components on the back and I noticed it fired up. Found the capacitor for under three dollars, soldered it on and the radios been good ever since.

It's been a few years but as I remember, I removed the radio, powered it up with 12 V and begin touching each component on the back of the unit. Once I put my finger on the capacitor get started working intermittently. Once I replaced it, it was all good.

Just because I had a bad capacitor does not mean that is your problem. With my limited experience in electronics all I can tell you is look closely (under magnification of possible) at every component for discoloration or swelling. Also look at the traces for a short. I got lucky as I put my finger on each component to see if anything changes. Good luck.
