transmission question s320

Hello, Im a newb to mercedes. Im having problems with my s320 shifting from 1st to 2nd. Fluid was dark so i changed filter, gasket and was filling with new fluid when i heard it running out on driveway. there is a hole behind the trans mount the fluid is coming out of. There is a small threaded hole next to it but i didnt take anything off just the pan. I only got about 3 quarts in before it started pouring out. HELP. 1994 s320 with 150k miles. Thanks

The clutches have graphite in them so fluid will be dark
when you drain it.

I just got mine used with 129,000 miles on it, and it has so many problem. One of them is automatic transmission shifter is move up to D, doesn't go down to 3, 2, or L. I don't have way to check if transmission fluid is enough or not, I think I have to Buy the dip stick. Can I use from other car like toyota avalon, it is long and skinny? also there was oil in the coolant, I read somewhere here in mbworld, that MB uses brown color antifreeze, I haven't take it to mechanic yet to conform it is oil or coolant. Also some one suggested you can use preston yellow antifreeze, it has to do something with aluminum body. It will be appreciated any advise on these issues,
I like to keep this car and enjoy it.

I just use no silicate formula antifreeze. You have to buy a dipstick for transmission,I bought mine on Ebay.Sounds like you car may have overheated at on time and ruint the headgasket.Lets hope not.Never let a 320 get hot,I added lower thermo in mine to save gasket. Some of the older ones had crappy gasket material.

Thanks for your help,,,Yes when I drove from seller's house it was blowing hot air from dash board, guy said it is because ac is not working that's why.
I don't know why I just bought that,,, (I mean what he said) we have to shut every thing down, like all air control buttons etc. and friend of mine who was helping me, he drove with window open.

But other day when I was cleaning out engine compartment I found to wire connection from air compressor was disconnected, I plug them back again, many fuse were out, which was causing problem for no power seat, mirror etc. after I put right fuses back some of thing came back to life. All though I still have rear driver side brake light OFF. I try to change bulb, which was ok, and make connection in socket also good. but no help yet.

Also I found one of the hose was disconnect from oil coolant area or may be from transmission oil cooler, I put that hose back on. I am afraid to drive it around, I am on me way to garage for PA inspection, I will find out there how many things are wrong in it.
I paid more than 4 grands, car has good body, paint is good but, if I find out that it doesn't have lot of work, I'll take it to MECO.
I'll post more after visit to mechanic.

Oil in coolant

So, after couple of visit to mechanic car passed Inspection. Oil leak was found in oil level sensor are, and coming near by timing gear area. I flushed the coolant thoroughly, but the oil came back in the coolant after driving 50 miles or so. I haven't done yet presser check in spark plug area.
If any one has same issue what was the cause for it. Oil is clean and brand new. No sign of coolant.
