I have problem with my w140 in starting engine

hi everybody, i am new member and i want to ask if there anybody can help me in this problem:
in my 300 se w140 1991 when i start the engine (cold start) its start very well with out pressing gas pedal, but its need a few minutes to worm up and then operate very well, but when i stop it and try to starting it again, i must press the gas pedal to starting it and the idle speed will go down if i release my foot from the pedal (to keep the engine in operating i must keep my foot on pedal with little press just to keep the idle speed in 650 rpm) in this case the idle will go down near to zero but not zero and then rise to 650 rpm
anyone can help me (send an e mail to " pilot6690@yahoo.com"
thanks a lot
