M119 S500 Poor Performance at low RPM

Anyone have any idea's, checked codes no codes. When I first bought the car it had the spark plugs, distributor caps, rotors and cam seals replaced and the car hauled like a freight train. The other day, I decided to give it full throttle away from a stop and the car still pulled but was noticeably slower than my first experience. I noticed, if I keep the car in second or third gear and accelerate from 1500-6000RPM I can feel a HUGE power surge around 3000-3500 RPM anything above that RPM it reminds me of when I first bought it. The car also seems to produce lots of intake noise when hard acceleration below 3000RPM like the engine is chugging or not getting enough air, that being said ive had the air filters out and checked them and they are clean as can be......any one have any ideas??????????![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)

Hello, sorry for very late reply. I cleaned my MAF unit with MAF specific cleaner. It helped my vehicle but still wasnt 100%. Keep in mind that M119 engines are notorious for distributor caps, cam seals and plugs going back. Check these as well!
Hope this helps!

Yeah the first thing I did after buying the car was new distributor caps and rotors, they were completely destroyed.
I cleaned my MAF with break cleaner, I think it's pretty close to MAF cleaner. It might have helped a bit but definitely not completely.
Not sure if plugs are likely since it works brilliantly at higher rpm, but maybe. (I've had it up to 260 km/h on the speedo)
Might try buying a new MAF even tho they are hella expensive... Was going to swap for the one in my moms SL500 but it turns out it's a couple months newer and has the plastic one while i have the metal one

Hello,
If your mothers vehicle is equipped with M119 engine. Please swap MAF sensors from vehicle to vehicle. If problem still persists you will have further diagnosis to do. I would recommend taking vehicle to dealer to have fault codes printed out.

Yeah I would swap but I can't. Hers is different, two sensors in a plastic tube. Mine is aluminium and only has one combined sensor :/
