Angry ASR defeat switch?

I've posted the same message about my '94 E500 and have got replies, but I'm just wondering how you turn off the damn ASR control in my '92 600SEL!! Does anyone know why Mercedes didn't put an ASR override switch in their early models that had ASR. Oh yeah, when was the 600SEL/S600 fitted with ESP and did it have an override switch?

My 98 has an ESP defeat switch, but not sure when it was first offered.

We had a 94 (95 model year) S500, it had the ASR defeat switch. In 1997, MB made the ESP standard, and it also has a defeat switch.
