V8-119 & compressor
I am sorry if this topic has already been discussed, but...
There is a vehicle w140 with v8-119 engine (with a run of approx. 220 000 km) and so we started thinking of a compressor. In this relation we have some questions:
1. Are the compressors installed on those engines?
2. To what extent the HP?
3. Did anyone of you do this?
4. Should the transmission and the brakes be changed?
5. Can anything break due to this installation?
6. The main question: how can we buy it and what is the price?

The only company I know that makes a compressor for the m119 is Koenig-specialties in Germany. I have spoken with several manufacturers on this matter and it seems to be some difficulties in getting the ECU and/or the fuel injection system to play nicely with the blower (compressor) on pre '98 models. And some clearance issues.
If you are into custom fabrication there is a company called Rotrax thats on your side of the globe. They make a very small compressor that will fit under the hood of all the v-8 140's. They will assist you in a custom fabriction kit if you've got the time and skills (or maybe a good mb mechanic).
Oh yeah, if you have a '98 or '99 140 v-8 talk to HPS, they have a system coming out in Jan. 04 that promises 465 hp.

from what i found, no one on this board has had one installed (but i couldn't fnd a whole bunch) But Mosselman systems has a centrifugal supercharger for the 500-119 engine.
