Trunk won't close

I have a 95 S320 and the trunk won't close all the way. It locks but the auto close function is not operating. Any ideas on how to fix? I s this a common problem?

Thanks in advance

Tom

trunk

Pump, or check lower latch (adjustment) for loose screws.

Most likely your vacuum pump assembly has gone bad and you need to replace the whole thing. It is located in the trunk and has numerous vacuum ports on it. Be careful removing it.
