As the papperatzi (spellilng?) were chasing them into the tunnel, he was going 120MPH...I think there was a curve in the tunnel and going at that speed, couldn't do it and so the car went into the barrier...

) it seems that he swearved to avoid hitting a car, put themselves into a skid at 100+ MPH...and physics does the rest. Lost control of it and crash.
