Self Leveling, Can it be modified, Tricked out?
1993 500SEL W140
I have installed 20" Lorinser D93 wheels and H&R Lowering Springs, I have a nice tight look on the front but the rear was still up in the air. The rear springs were then cut a little bit and the car still remains high from the rear. Im wondering if there is any way to trick the height control to reduce the height which it is set at? Any ideas?

Lowering Issue
Peter,
I'd like to thank you for your response to both my 1st (AC Issue) and 2nd post on the site. Abput the lowering question. Is this something I can do myself if I have my auto on a lift is it an adjustment to some sort of threaded rod? If so is there a guideline as to the ratio of adjustment as to the distance of drop? As always thanks for any info in advance.

Leveling
AS I recall the valve is attached to the rear axle carrier with a bracket, a connecting rod comes from the rear tosion bar and has some adjustment room. I dont know if your lowering distance can be made up but examination should reveal some info. I know in earlier models there was a alignment hole that you put a drill bit thru and then tighend the screw.
The car should be sitting on its wheels, this is not an adjustment with the wheels hanging down, probably a little trial and error. If you remove the acumulators and Hydraulic shocks, you will encounter other issues because the systems looks for a little residual pressure for ride comfort
