1998 S320 Issue...
I am getting a rhythmic (to the engine) vibration. It is low frequency, and only is present for the first five-ten minutes of driving. I initially thought it was loose trim, and checked around for any panels, covers, etc that my be loose, none visible. It sounds to be coming from rear-seat area, or back seat. It does not effect the driving feel of the car. Something of note, that may or not be related, I put the car in "4" on the transmission to see if it could be the bushing on the transmission linkage, and then had a hard time getting it out, and into park.
Could any one shed some light, or ideas as to what it could be, or where to look? I have had the flex disks done, etc...so any insight would be great.
Thank you.
Regards,

I was thinking the muffler hanger could be a culprit, or something loose in that regard. Do you think that could transmit through to sound as if it were in cabin (ish)...
Yeah, i always to OE part, especially with major components (flexdisks, transmission mount) .... I am really hoping it is just a muffler hanger that needs replacing...lol

I will raise it up and bang around.
Thanks for the fuel filter tip...i wouldn't have even thought.
When you cut your CAT shields, did you notice a throatier note than prior? I had my cats replaced, it was aftermarket because they didn't have the factory readily available, it is a throatier exhaust note...i prefer the quieter....but don't think that there is anything I can do to change it at this point...
BTW, thank you for your help/suggestions. I follow the forum pretty closely, generally read all of your posts, you have some great stuff out there, so I appreciate your help on mine.

@oldsinner111, wanted to thank you for your help. It turned out to be the exhaust hanger(s). It had allowed the muffler to sag and hit that cross member slightly. I ordered new ones and put them in, so.... thank you for pointing me in the right direction and helping me out...
