Really now what about slick 50
I will probably open a can of worms here But !!! OK I have to tell you I have used slick 50 with great success in several domestic engines, but never in my MB . One chevy V6 had over 200k on it and still didn't use any oil between changes. I sold to a friend who drove it for years. I have read in this forum of people using it, but today ran a search and found an area that condemed all additives. Everyone seems to have an opinion, does anyone have an honest reason why I should not use it ? And I have never used it in conjunksion with mobil 1, is there any issues with mixing these two products. Hope I'm not beating a dead hourse here but really would like some educated opinions. I am amazed at some of the knowledge found here.

One reason not to use it today is the fact that the money you save will buy a few gallons of extra fuel.
Consumer reports did an in depth study using New York City taxi's and the results were no difference between SSSSSSlick 50 and regular oil.
It wont hurt but I doubt it will help either.

Mercedes and other manufacturer's tell you not to use oil additives including the PTFE that's in Slick 50. In fact it can void your warranty.
