If you have not done so flush system,I use a racer's trick.I remove tstat, and put neck back on,I drain system then use one gal. vinegar with water. I turn on heat and drive 30 minutes. Come back, and let engine cool over night, drain flush system with water. Then fill with coolant.I use Evan's PG coolant at 100% so I'm good for 10 years. I always drill a hole in stat so it will bleed easy.

Got the temperature to where it should be. It doesn't go above 80.. Whoop whoop. Got a new radiator fitted and changed a new tstat.. She's cruising so well.. Though I noticed my tranny slipped. Kinda missed 3rd gear. Gear 2 held high rpm before it went to the 4th gear. Anyway back to the garage..
