CHECK ENGINE ON - EVAP SYSTEM
I need some helping trouble shooting my 1999 W140. It's been a long project for me and i replaced/fixed about 10 hours worth of parts on this car and seems like i'm close to getting it smogged (with your help)
Now I'm getting the following errors:
P1453 Air Pump Relay - Replaced 2 different ones - same error
P1420 Air Pump Switch over valve - replaced with a working one - same error
P0466 Activated Charcoal Canister Valve - No idea how/where to troubleshoot
P0443 Purge Control Valve - No idea how/where to troubleshoot
I tried supplying +12V directly to the Air Pump and i can hear it working without any weird sounds. Just like the other MB i have.
It just seems like this whole EVAP system is not getting any power or the ground terminal is not connected (don't know where to check)
I have also supplied power directly to the Air Pump relay and it should in theory turn the Pump on, but nothing happens.
I have replaced all the vacuum lines around the engine and replaced gas cap.
Only at he end of the day today, my Alternator Light came on (with the SRS light as well). It does go away when i rev it over 2000rpm
Could those errors be related to a low voltage issue ?
I plan on replacing the Alternator tomorrow and see if anything changes.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
