Help! Car died
So was cruising this night and BAM! engine surged and RPM slowly went down, when it completely died. Tried to start - cranks, no start. Fuel pump buzz is present (replaced one of two pumps with PIEBURG unit 2 weeks ago). After 5 mins of sitting starts fine and goes. After driving 500 meters dies again... left the car in forest and drove home, was really angry. Where should I look? Throttle body, throttle cable? Fuel injection problems?
I must note, that when this all started, it smelled pretty heavy of unburned gas. Maybe such a little thing as spark plugs?
And about wiring which is dodgy on these cars - it has been changed (mechanic said so). And no codes were present at diagnostic 2 weeks ago...
Thanks in advance.
