LOL...

SWB = short wheel base
LWB = long wheel base

of course there is a difference in the wheel bases!

you can easily tell the difference between a lwb and a swb by looking at the rear window...

the swb's rear window is "squarish" whereas the lwb's rear window is "rectangular"...

long wheelbase is approximately 4 inches longer (more rear foot room and longer rear doors. there are advantages to a SWB car though. its roughly 44Kg lighter b/c of the 4 inch cut and also because of the short wheel base its a much nimbler car (especially when you get bilstein shocks and perforamance AMG rims with performance tires. I have 300SE but its a quick car and handles very well. once i get springs i will have pretty much maxed out suspension and wheels and etc and i will get rid of alot of that ugly wheel gap.
