1996 E300 Black/Grey and Rust :(
1993 300sd
Are they worth it? I own a 1991 190E 2.6L and I'm thinking of going diesel, anyone want to comment on this particular model. Is it problematic or are they road warriors? My car currently has 245K miles on it and i think it'll easliy go to 300K miles.
They look great? Is it as big as a standard S class, like say the 95 S320 model??
thanks in advance

Thanks
Appreciate the info. Any feeling towards the more recent diesels (1997-1999)
the E300 turbodiesel.
I'd love to find a 95 E300 2.5 but hard to come by with 100K miles or less.
lthanks again.

A 1995 E300D would be a W124 with a N/A 606. 6 cylinder 3.0. They used the N/A engine up to 1997. In 98 and 99 it got a turbo and a lot more power. You can't go wrong with any of these cars I really like the W210. But drive a turbo one before you buy a N/A one the turbo's have a nice kick to them.

I have a 1994 S350 which is the same car. They are the short wheelbase version and pretty much come with everything the base S320 comes with.
If you are interested check out the service history to see if the engine was replaced at any time (mine was). If the car has over 100k miles, it's probably safe to assume it won't break. However if it has lower miles and has not had the engine replaced, I would stay away.
AC can be expensive (evaporator issue) but this is with all 140's. The car is nice overall. Do not get for performance, that's for damn sure.
