High Performance exhaust plan, on a budget

Hey guys, since exhaust for MB are stupid expensive i will be going the custom route. Usually this would be the more expensive alternative but in this case its actually not .

Heres my plan, either do true dual or similar setup but pipes coming out one location (like stock system does). here are my plans.... (look below)

Get a high flow X pipe (or y pipe) coming from the headers, they flow through high flow magnaflow cats, then pass through 2 mangaflow high flow resonators (help refine the exhaust sound, make it sound more like a V8), then out the back through one or two mufflers. the whole system will probably cost around $300-400 but when you think about what you are getting its actually a heck of a good deal. since mercedes exhaust systems are so restrictive i'm guessing a good gain of 20-25 HP. it should sound very good yet refined at the same time. I may even consider custom headers b/c stock headers are horribly restrictive and the huge amount of space left by the inline 6 in an engine bay designed for a V12 allows for alot of room to do some nice equal length high flow headers. anyways what yall think?
