the bumper material on 98 s500
does anyone know how I should care for the bumper area of my s500? can i use meguiar wax on it? on the instruction for meguiar it says do not use on vinyl. what material is it made of? thanks.

Your bumper is covered with the same paint (primer/base coat/clear coat) as the rest of your car, with one small addition. The bumpers on the pre-96 W140s were finished using a flattening agent in the clear coat, newer models were not. As such, standard paint card products should suffice on these surfaces.
