Hey guys..well this problem just occured tonight on my way home from dinner for the 3rd time today!! My "CHECK ENGINE" Light has came on,I have disconnected the battery 2 times to turn the light off..and then drive it a bit and as soon as i turn my Benz off and restart it..BAM the light is back on..this is not the best time for this to happen since my car is about to get new paint job due to a GRAVEL Truck spellign rocks on the highway,and a set of 20'' wheels,my car was hope to be in the shop next week for paint.but now it seems i might have to send to a Service dept for work.is it ok to drive it like that? the car is running perfectly and everything works great.the light just came on..maybe a O2 Sensor? any ideas guys?

Check engine
I'm sure everyone in the thread will give you the same response, a 'Check Engine' light requires an engine diagnostic, take it to an MB repair shop and have them check the code, I beleive the ECU box for your car is located on the right side of the car in the engine compartment, but your local repair shop will know that, sorry for the bad news, but it could be anything, O2 sensor, Pollution pump and other parts. Have it taken care of ASAP.

talked to my service guy today and will take it down tomorrow or monday for the puter to look up the codes.gotta get it donw very soon car should be in paint shop next week and buying my new wheels.
