560 sec??? or 500 sec???

is there a 1984 560 sec model? someone wants to sell me a 1984 560 sec, but from what i know they sold em only as of late 85, or not?

You are correct, actually. The 560 SEC was never produced as a 1984 model. What is the VIN?

560 SEC wasn't introduced to the USA until 1986 and didn't see production in Europe till 1985. It is a 500 SEC with a 560 SEC badge. Those are W126 chassis vehicles.

What is the mileage and condition? Make sure the timing chain has been changed and that all the electrical options work. Take a look at the oil and make sure there is no signs of coolant in there and vice versa. Does the car come with any records? There is a 1985 500 SEC in my area with 212,000 miles for $2650.

it is supposed to e a low mileage vehicle in very good shape.
how about the value of a car like that in lets say ecellent condition?
and again...
is there a website where i can find out more about the 500/560 sec?

'85 500 SEC (euro)
560 model

I have an 85 Euro 500 SEC, the 560 was introduced in Germany during the latter part of that year (after Sep), in the U.S. it was introduced in 1986.
