Renntech engine upgrades on the 03 S-Class
I called Renntech and they said that the way their hearing is the new Twin turbo S-Class for 2003 is gonna have 550 hp and their gonna try to bump it up to 650hp to compete with their 620hp V-12 CLK GTX. Does anyone know if this is true or not.

Heres the e-mail word for word because I Ask about a current V12 conversion on the phone and he sent me this.
It is possible, but not the way I would go. I would either wait a year from
now and get the new S600 with the 5.5 V12 twin turbo charged 475 HP and have
us modify that to 600HP, or I would put that engine in your car.

Something is not adding up.
In the first post you said that RT says the 03' S600 is to be 550hp. Then in the second post, you include the e-mail response to your question on the "02' current v12" ala 369hp, and their response was to "wait till next year "03" and get the 475hp v12".
So where do you get the 550hp????

well i posted it not remenbering the e-mail if you want me to forward it to you then just give me your e-mail man or call renntech anyways I think this is cool nun the less 600hp for an S-Class

Man thats why I love Mercedes Benz compaired to BMW. The Factory and Tuners work together to build machines with the perfect balance of luxury, performance, handling, technology and styling.

The 2003 S600 will have more than 500hp, because Mercedes-Benz wants all of the V12 cars to be a lot more beastly than the new 55 AMG engine.
Also, the CL600 and S600 will be rare, just like the 2003 SL55, although they will be easier to get than the SL55 because not as many people are interested in them, and they will cost more than the SL55.
We should have been #12 on the list at our dealer for a 2003 S600, but they told us we most likely would not get one at #12, so they bumped us to #1 because we give them a lot of business.
The first run of CL and S600's won't arrive in North America until December or January.

It really depends on the dealer, my dealer is only getting something like 10 MY2003 S600's this year, and it is one of the largest in the country.

Ya I know man after everyone has one I like to be the frist for everything. I got one of the frist flat panel tvs out a while back and now its junk but cars are different.

I don't beleive the DVD Nav option will be available until MY04, as for 4-Matic, I assume it will be available at the beginning of the model year, but I am not positive. I do know that 4-Matic will be available for MY03, not sure if it will be released at the beggining, or what, though.

Damn- Im totally stuck now... I have boughten, lets see, 2 M3's, a 540i, 3 Series, 4 Volvos, and a 7 series from the local Merc/BMW/Volvo dealer, so I know Ill be able to get the first DVD Nav 4matic. But thats a long ways away..
I have a Ls430 and Lx470 at my garage here in MA now...My Ls is pretty new, but has 45,000 miles- I drive alot. I was in the snow in New Hampshire last winter, and the LS totally sucked. I didn't feel safe at all.. I could drive the LX for the snow, but that care isn't fun. Its great for the passengers, etc, but its a big SUV, don't care too much. Ideally, I would like to get a X54.6is with DVD nav and have the New sclass with DVD nav and 4wd- Balance the miles perfectly, both will be a joy to drive.. Damn, im stuck now. My dealer think I could have a new S in December. He also says my wifes 2003 530i (530 Bi Turbo, supposdely 380 HP) will be here in October..
AHH Don't know what to do..

Rennrcr, you're correct, the figure you have of 530hp is unconfirmed, it will be more than 500hp, how much more, I do not know.
